Richmond Times-Dispatch - LACKER, William Ralph, 87, of Richmond, Virginia, son of the late Charles Lacker and Jeannette Galloway Lacker and husband of the late Marion Pharis Spears ("Mern") Lacker, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by Charlie, his beloved wire-haired dachsund. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lacker; his son, Jeffrey Lacker and his wife, Lisa Halberstadt; his grandsons, Benjamin Lacker and Daniel Lacker and his wife, Maria Abascal. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill attended Transylvania University ("first college west of the Alleghenies") in Lexington, Kentucky, where he studied under Austrian-born artist, printer and typographer, Victor Hammer. After work in retail and broadcasting, in 1960 he and his young family moved to Ridgewood, N.J., a suburb of New York City, where he went into marketing and commercial printing. In 1974, Bill, Marion and Jennifer moved to Hollis, New Hampshire. After he and Marion retired, they moved to the Richmond area in 1997

Richmond Times-Dispatch - HELMICK, Anne B., 86, passed away November 20, 2016, at Morton Plant Hospital. She was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and attended Mary Washington College and Smithdeal-Massey Business School. After retiring from Reynolds Metals Company, she moved to Clearwater. She was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Rear Admiral Guy Benton Helmick. She is survived by several cousins and many close friends. A memorial service will be held at Anona Chapel, 13233 Indian Rocks Rd. in Largo, Florida on Wednesday, November 30, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Moffitt Cancer Center. Serenity Funeral Home is assisting the Helmick family with arrangements.

Richmond Times-Dispatch - KING, Wilton Wayt Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2016, of complications from pneumonia. He was born on August 11, 1937, in Richmond, Virginia, the son of W. Page King and Elisabeth K. King. He was a loving husband to his wife of 58 years, Kay Alderman King; and a devoted father to his children, W. Wayt King Jr., Barbara K. King, Stephen C. King (Roberta) and Carolyn K. Fisher (Clinton). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, to whom he was a doting Granddaddy. Wilton was a 1955 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, Virginia, and went on to earn Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Master of Mechanical Engineering degrees at the University of Virginia, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon social fraternity, the Raven Society, and the Tau Beta Pi and Phi Eta Sigma honorary fraternities, received Intermediate Honors, and served on the UVA Honor Committee. He then earned his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics at Virgin

Richmond Times-Dispatch - PETERS, June Kathryn, age 89, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2016. June was born and raised in Valley, Nebraska, but moved to Orlando, Florida when she married her husband of 49 years, Donald Peters. Several years after the passing of her husband, June moved to Richmond, Virginia to be close to her daughter, Linda. June attended Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Gatherings with June's family and friends were her greatest joy. She will always be remembered for her unparalleled love and devotion to her family. June was dearly loved by her daughter, Linda McRae; her grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Nylander, Ryan (Dawn) McRae; great-granddaughters, Riley and Mia Nylander; and niece, Judy Whiteside; as well as numerous family and friends. Her beautiful smile and loving ways will be missed by everyone. Richmond Times-Dispatch - TULLOH, Jay Ann Alexander, 85, went to join her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert G Tulloh, on November 23, 2016. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Tulloh and son-in-law, Jack Taliaferro of Richmond, Va.; a son, Robert F Tulloh and daughter-in-law, Colleen O. Tulloh of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Caroline S. Tulloh of Baton Rouge, La. and R. Jessup Tulloh of Austin, Texas. Mrs. Tulloh was a member of Commonwealth Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; Richmond Virginia Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII Century; Virginia Daughters of Colonial Wars and the Tuckahoe Women's Club. The family would like to also thank the loving nursing staff at Westport Health Care Center. Graveside service will be private and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Richmond Times-Dispatch - CUMBEY, Mrs. Susan Gibbs, 66, passed away peacefully in her home and surrounded by family on November 16, 2016, after a year-long battle with colon cancer. Mrs. Cumbey was born on September 18, 1950, in Danville, Virginia to Sylvia Watson and John Currie Gibbs. Mrs. Cumbey is survived by her husband, James Lloyd Cumbey D.D.S. of Richmond, Virginia; and three children, Mr. Wyatt Cumbey and wife, Lara Cumbey, Mr. Scott Monroe Cumbey and Mrs. Kathryn Suzanne Rillstone and husband, Chris Rillstone, all of Richmond, Virginia; and her beloved Boykin Spaniel, Sam. She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Sally Vick and husband, H. Russell Vick, of Greensboro, N.C.; and brother, Mr. John C. Gibbs III, of Raleigh, N.C. Mrs. Cumbey was a graduate of Longwood University and received a master's degree in education and guidance counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University.
